A tour to Shumen by bike

In the beginning of April we will have the rare opportunity to enjoy the Shumen Plateau by bike.

We will be able to see the fascinating rock monasteries and (probably!) the black leopard.

Programme:

Day 0: 03.04 Arrival to Shumen Plateau. Test ride before dinner.

Day 1: 04.04 We will ride in the direction of Osmar village, which was known as The Little America because of the success with its famous wine. In 1902 here the first Bulgarian champagne was made. We will try the famous Osmar wine (pelin) and we will contunue to the highest point of the Shumen plateau Tarnov tabia-502 m. Along the way we will visit the Khan Krum and Kostadinovo rock monastery. After that we will go back through “Bukaka” reserve and we will finish the night with a beer. Distance for the day: 25 km

Day 2: 05.04 We will visit the famous “Biserna” cave and continue to Lozevo village. The final point is complex “Stakloto”. Then we go back home by car.
