Dobri Voynikov was born in 1833. Built by him in 1862, on the same spot where his father’s house was, the prominent enlightener’s home is a fine example of an architectural monument from the Revival period. Dobri Voynikov was a teacher, an author of textbooks, a musician and composer, a conductor and musical critic, a community center worker, a newspaper editor, and a playwright. Family belongings and authentic materials are used for the entirely renovated home interior. The patriarchal spirit of the Revival and the European influence of the owners still live there. A documentary exposition represents the cultural-historical processes in Bulgaria, which Voynikov was a part of.
