Elena Karamihailova Gallery was opened in 1955 as a plastic art collection. Subsequently it proved itself to continue the long cultural traditions of Shumen. More than 1600 works of painting, sculpture, graphics and applied arts within a period of the end of the 19th century till present day are kept. Some of them are valuable masterpieces bearing significance for Bulgarian culture. Exposition halls covering a territory of 333 m² host various types of art exhibitions and many other cultural events.
