An adventure trip to “Dervisha” waterfall

Enjoy this beautiful waterfall! Take an adventure hike to “Dervisha” waterfall! You will see not only the wild stream of the river falling potently but also the beautiful mountain of Veliki Preslav, sweet chestnut trees and ruby elf cups. When you see the waterfall, you feel calm and you enter a peaceful meditative state because of the negative ions from the falling water.

This journey is adventurous and suitable for people who a used to climbing steep slopes and walking on damp earth. Please wear suitable boots and water resistant clothes.

How to go there?

-by car: follow the GPS towards “Dervisha” waterfall or Dervisha lake (язовир “Дервиша”, водопад “Дервиша”). Park your car next to the lake and continue 1 km on foot.

-by bus: from Veliki Preslav bus station, you need to walk around 5,500 m

While walking on the west side of the lake, you’ll reach “Dervisha” reserve and see a sign: “Dervisha” waterfall-300 m. to the left.

In order to reach the waterfall, you need to cross three times the two rivers that connect at this place.

You should be careful of slippery slopes.

We recommend this place for experienced adventurers who like wild, serene and remote places.
