There are temples from many religions in the Shumen region. There are 3 Orthodox temples in the town, also the temples in the remote neighborhoods of “Divdyadovo”, “Makak” and “Matnitsa”. Here is the largest mosque preserved from the Ottoman period in Bulgaria – Tombul Mosque. One of the most highly energetic places in Bulgaria is located near the Madara Horseman (“Madarski konnik”) where there was a proto-Bulgarian pagan sanctuary – Kapishte. There is a Catholic monastery in the village of Tsarev Brod. In addition, near the village of Zlatar, on a high place with a view of the Fore-Balkans and the valley of the Golyama Kamchia River, hides the Zlatar Monastery. In the villages and surrounding towns you can find wonderful Orthodox temples , built in different architectural styles and from different periods. Day 4: Trekking starting in the village of Osmar. A visit to the rock monastery Podkovata and the Kostadinov rock monastery above the village. Here is also the rock phenomenon “The Eye” – a strong energy place. Return to the village of Osmar, where you can see the church of “Saints Constantine and Elena”, which dates back to 1862.
Day 5. A visit to the Catholic Monastery “Benedictine Sisters” in Tsarev Brod. A visit to the Proto-Bulgarian sanctuary Kapishteto next to the Madara rider – one of the most energetic places in Bulgaria. A visit to the Great Basilica in the first Bulgarian capital Pliska.
