The first vet school in Bulgaria was founded in Shumen in 1881. It was important to have someone to take care of all the army horses.
So this was an important step in the development of medical science in Bulgaria.
Unfortunately, the school was closed in the end of 1885.
The former vet clinic used to be in this building from the 1930s.
