A joint exhibition of sculptural works and paintings by two Shumen authors 

A joint exhibition of sculptural works and paintings is presented by two Shumen authors – Valery Zhelyazkov and Atanas Atanasov. The exposition will be arranged in the exhibition hall of the Stiliyan Chilingirov Regional Library in Shumen on April 5 (Wednesday) at 5:30 p.m.

Valery Zhelyazkov is a graduate of the University of Veliko Tarnovo “St. St. Cyril and Methodius”. He is a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists. He works in the field of graphics, drawing and figurative sculpture. He participated in international graphics biennials in Japan, Holland, Slovenia, Austria, Bulgaria. He has solo exhibitions, and his works are owned by galleries and private collections in Bulgaria, Germany, etc. He is the author of statuettes, plaques, sculptures and badges as awards, established by various creative organizations in our country, as well as the monument to the poet Ivan Peychev in Shumen.

Atanas Atanasov is one of the longest-standing members of the Society of Shumen Artists, but the upcoming joint exhibition with Valery Zhelyazkov is his second exhibition in Shumen and in Bulgaria after a long creative break of nearly ten years. Outside the country, the artist has seven solo exhibitions in Italy, where he lived for eleven years, as well as participation in collective exhibitions in Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Luxembourg. His paintings are owned by galleries and private collections in Italy, Germany, Russia, Switzerland, Japan, Turkey, Belgium and the USA.

The exhibition of Valery Zhelyazkov and Atanas Atanasov is organized with the financial support of the Municipal Fund “Culture” and will be exhibited in the exhibition hall of the library until May 13.
