Baba Marta (Granny Marta) is our special tradition on the 1st March. We create bracelets and decorations from white and red, usually woolen cloth. This is a representation of the coming Spring and a blessing for peace (white) and health (red). We wear the white and red bracelets and put white and red decorations on our clothes (martentitsi) until we see a blooming tree, a stork or a swallow.
Come with us on March 1st, in front of the community center at 10:30 to share our martenitsi and good mood and walk in nature.
