Festive ritual for the Day of People’s Awakeners in Shumen

The Municipality of Shumen, together with the People’s Community Center “Dobri Voynikov-1856” and the Faculty of “Artillery, Air Defense and CSI” organize a solemn celebration on November 1 – the Day of People’s Awakeners. The city-wide ritual will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the laying of wreaths and flowers in front of the monument to Nancho Popovich in the garden in front of the “Dobri Voynikov-1856” RN.

A word for the alarm clocks will be delivered by Yurieta Ivanova, a second-year student at “Ep. Konstantin Preslavski”, specialty “Bulgarian Studies and Media”. The festive program with vocal performances will include Gabriela Doncheva from the “Mickey Mouse” band at the Stiliyan Chilingirov-1963 NB, the “Unison” trio at the “Sava Dobroplodni” Secondary School and the “BIS” children’s and youth studio at the CPLR-ODC “Anastas” Stoyanov”.

At 18:00 a concert will begin with the participation of Mixed Choir “Native Sounds”, Ballet Studio “Pearls” and Vocal Formation “Malka Serenada”.

The celebration will be attended by the mayor Lubomir Hristov, deputy mayors, representatives of the municipal and regional administration, municipal councilors, political, educational and public figures.

The municipality invites residents of Shumen to participate in the festive event of appreciation and respect for the work of writers, educators and fighters for national liberation.
