Green Suns Festival

Traditionally, Shumen will celebrate the herb festival with the Green Suns festival. The Nature Park “Shumensko Plateau” organizes the event, which will start at 05:30 with the reception of the sunrise on the meadow next to the information center of the “Founders of the Bulgarian State” monument, an Eniv wreath of herbs and flowers will be woven and Enivsko will be played round dance.
The celebration will continue at the parking lot of the “Founders of the Bulgarian State” monument from 09:00, where the “Silent Water” and “Enyova Bullia” rituals will be recreated. A cheerful workshop, art school and scout games are planned for the children, and folklore ensembles from the Shumen municipality will take care of the good mood.

Attendees will be able to learn old Shumen folk remedies for 77 types of pain and see part of the WORLD’S ONLY exhibition of gilded herbs “The Golden Herbs of Bulgaria”, presented by “The Magic of the Bulgarian Rose” Ltd.
