Mutnitsa quarter is celebrating its holiday

The Shumen district “Mutnitsa” will celebrate its holiday with an entertaining two-day program.

The festivities will begin with music and dance performances on June 23 (Friday) at 8:00 p.m. Later, the legendary “Diana Express” will take the stage.

During the second day of the celebration – June 24 (Saturday), the guests of the event will have the opportunity to enjoy the eternal songs of Nikolay Slaveev. The organizers also promise a rich folklore program with the participation of the pipe band “Voevodi” and the dance group “Plovdiv”.

Special guests of the celebration will be the Shumen ensemble, DJ Svetlio and Festival Calendar Bulgaria.

In addition to music, dancing and good mood, the organizers have prepared for their guests attractions, beer and a delicious grill.

The date of the village holiday is associated with three main events. The first of them dates back to 1979, when Mutnitsa officially changed its status from a village to a district of Shumen.

On June 24, residents of Mtni celebrate the temple holiday of their church “St. John the Baptist”. The event always takes place during the week of the New Year’s Day holiday, when the little New Year’s Eve members from the community center’s self-acting team also celebrate.

Festive events are organized by the town hall, school and community board of the neighborhood, which invite all residents of Shumen and guests of the city to celebrate together.
