Shumen with a new sports hall and training ground to the stadium

Today /27.07.2022/ the new sports hall at the stadium opened its doors. The idea of ​​the municipal leadership is to create another city center with a multifunctional facility similar to “Arena Shumen”, where football and athletics training will be held, concerts will be held and football tournaments will be organized at the national and international level. An overpass will be built over “Simeon Veliki” Blvd. to the stadium, which will connect it to “Praktiker” and the rest of the shopping area next to the hypermarket. Thus, the new space will further enliven the area on the way to the Trakia district.

The new football field measures 45.00×75.00. It is designed with all the necessary spaces, conditions and technical equipment for football training. It is covered with artificial grass for sports fields. Special sprinklers have also been installed to allow the use of the artificial surface even on the hottest summer days. It has a drainage and lighting system. On the south-eastern side there are 2 tribunes with a total of 205 seats, of which 4 are for the disabled. 37 parking spaces have been built.

The training hall measures 20/41 m, and the total area of ​​the building is 827 sq.m. There are 92 seats for spectators, substitute players and coaches. Changing rooms for the athletes with separate sanitary facilities and bathrooms, storage rooms, coaching rooms, doctor’s and physiotherapist’s offices, a conference hall, a lobby with a bar, storage rooms, etc. have been built.
