XIII National Plein Air Painting “Shumensko Plateau”

From September 2 to 9, Shumen will host the 13th edition of the National Plein Air Painting “Shumen Plateau”. Artists from different cities of the country will participate in it – Biser Lapev ​​and Desislava Lapeva from Kyustendil, Borislava Zaharieva from Sliven, Petar Tepsizov and Pavlina Serbova from Yambol. By status, the remaining five participants are from Shumen – Emilia Baleva, Ivelina Ivanova, Galina Petkova, Emilia Doceva and Tony Raichev.

The opening is on September 2 (Friday) at 4:00 p.m. in the courtyard of the “Green School” on the Shumen Plateau. The plein air painting does not have a certain thematic or genre focus, and the participants have complete freedom to realize their creative ideas. The aim is to get to know Shumen’s cultural-historical heritage and natural attractions and to help promote the area as a place to create art.

Organizers of the National Plein Air Painting “Shumen Plateau” are the Municipality of Shumen and the Society of Shumen Artists.
