The slopes of Shumensko Plateau Nature park offer wonderful conditions for developing air sports. Relief conditions and the upland-like relief facilitate paragliding. In the north-eastern part of Ilchov bair there are four take-off places. The place is suitable for slope soaring and thermal flying. The highest flying altitude reached is 2000m.
Paragliding can be done even in winter season. The most favourable flying places are near the Divdyadovo rocks.
